Benjamin Harris is a cinematographer working across documentary, narrative, and commercial film.
Having spent several years working on BBC and National Geographic natural history documentaries, his work is shaped by extended periods of observational field shooting in remote and unpredictable environments. This has developed a practice grounded in timing, patience, and a sensitivity to behaviour, light, and movement as they unfold in real time.
Alongside natural history filmmaking, he is developing a body of narrative work that applies the same observational discipline to constructed scenes, with a focus on grounded performance, naturalistic light, and a restrained, composition-led approach to storytelling.
His work is driven by an interest in atmosphere, behaviour, and images that feel observed rather than imposed.
